Haley and Rick decided to have an intimate wedding at the tiny and adorable American Mother’s Chapel at Rock Ledge Ranch in Colorado Springs. Their parents and siblings were the only guests in attendance - 9 in total- and they all fit perfectly inside the chapel.
All of their guests dressed in ‘sunset colors’ which perfectly complemented the beautiful florals that decorated the chapel (put together by the Planning Co.)
Before Haley arrived, Rick and his family gathered and he set up in the chapel to tune his guitar to prepare for a worship song during the ceremony.
Haley’s father (the officiant!) waited on a bridge for her to arrive, so he could have a first look of his daughter in her wedding dress. It was such a sweet moment between the two of them. Afterwards, he escorted her to the chapel where Rick was waiting.
They had a sweet ceremony that represented not only their love for each other but their love for God. They sang together as Rick played the guitar. Haley shed some tears and wiped them away with her grandmother’s embroidered handkerchief.
During their ceremony it began to rain, but right after it concluded the rain stopped and the sky opened up. We explored around Rock Ledge Ranch for some portraits of the newlyweds.
For their reception, Haley + Rick decided to have a family dinner at Momma Pearl’s Cajun Kitchen - where they had their first date! It was very fitting because Haley and her family are from New Orleans. Rick is from New York, so they had a clever custom cake topper that read “the New Yorker and the New Orleanian”.
I absolutely love seeing couples create their wedding to be an experience that is true to them. Haley and Rick’s wedding was just that- it celebrated their love for each other, for their close-knit family, for God, and for some good, sentimental Cajun food!
