As new Colorado residents, Dillon and Miranda wanted to celebrate the beauty of their new home state in their elopement. And what location is more majestic than Rocky Mountain National Park? On a gorgeous September day, they explored the park and committed their lives to one another.
They read their vows at Sprague Lake, on a dock overlooking the water and the continental divide. It was a beautifully intimate ceremony with just the two of them. It was so sweet to hear them speak of all the things they love about each other.
After their ceremony, we headed to Moraine Park. Instead of cutting a cake, they opted to each get a cupcake from their favorite bakery near their home in Arvada, Rheinlander Bakery. The bride chose peanut butter cup and the groom chose salted caramel, which they adorably toasted to their marriage.
Right before sunset, we drove up Trail Ridge Road to a breathtaking lookout point at 11,430’ above sea level. When we got out of the car, we heard some loud noises and looked up on the ridge and saw a herd of elk!
The views were absolutely stunning. It was if Dillon and Miranda were on top of the world! To see them celebrate their love for each other surrounded by the towering rocky mountains was an incredible sight to behold.
